About Lime Light Show Reels

Lime Light came about after I was approached by a friend to put together a show reel for him. He told his friends and colleagues about it, and before long, I was doing them more often. I was later approached to put together a web site for one actor after they had seen that I had done my own. It soon became evident that many actors could not afford to pay the "going rate" for show reel editing or web site building. It was then that I began offering my services to actors to produce show reels and web sites at a rate that they could afford. I was in the same position when I was starting out, no money yet desperate for a show reel to promote myself, so I decided to produce my own. I now have a professional editing facility which enables me to produce industry standard show reels. I do not do this to make a living out of it, but to assist other actors to promote themselves at a more affordable rate.

In this day and age, it is so easy to have your work on line. If you have a web site, you can upload a short or compressed version of your show reel in seconds. Sites like UKScreen and Casting Call Pro among others, will allow you to upload short show reels to your page free of charge. There are so many outlets these days that allow you to do that, My Space, Face Book and You Tube are three other great ones to use for networking and promoting yourself.
